It was good to be on the bike again. I was in Frankenthal on Tuesday and Wednesday I was in Leutershausen .
I went riding with a friend of mine Jens Weber.
On Friday I drove down to Holzgerlingen. It was raining when I got there. I knew the track was going to be perfect on Saturday.
We woke up to sunny sky`s on Saturday .The track was perfect…
It was loamy and you had 100% traction.
I was loving it.
In Time training I ended up 6th in my group.
They did the track again on Saturday evening .
On Sunday morning the track was a bit wet .
But before the other practises were finished it was awesome again.
1st race
I was out of the gate well and by the second corner I was 2nd .
Josef Dobes was leading . I was riding behind him studing his lines.
Gareth caught me sleeping and passed me .
I was taking to much time with Josef .
I was caught by a rock on my nose from Gareth .
It pulled my lens out my goggles .It cost me a lack of concentration and I slid out going back to forth .That´s where I ended.
2nd Race
I didn’t get the jump out of the gate as I wanted to.
I was about 7th into the second corner .
I was closing up quickly to the other riders but it was difficult passing.
When I was into 4th place there was a bit of work to do but it was possible to get to third I had a get together with Aiger Leok.
He missed the rut in the inside of a corner and we collided .
It took a while to untangle our bikes but starting mine was a mission impossible.
So after I was a lap down I walked off.
3rd Race
I was out of the gate quickly and I worked hard in the first corner getting past Max .
It took another 3 corners to make it stick.
I was in third place behind Gareth and Dobes.
Gareth pulled away about 2 sec from us but it took us ,Josef and myself, 7min to catch him.
We pulled away from the rest of the field and it was a exciting race.5 Laps before the end Josef and Gareth collided just in front of me. I just missed them.
It took a lap to recover but then I knew the race was mine.
It was a good feeling standing on top of the podium again …
I am really happy about the race because I couldn’t train for 5 weeks and I didn’t expect to last the whole race at that speed.
I special thanks to Rene my mechanic and Hubert who does my suspension .
I have a school tomorrow in Scharfheim and on Wednesday in Langgöns.
Going to be fun.
